Morris and Killeen have both worked in film prior to joining forces to create GROD Productions. Morris was a writer and producer of the internationally released horror feature film, Dying Breed while Killeen appeared in the Australian Classic, Getting Square as a disgruntled wife and has also written the feature film script Mothertrucker.

Based on the 2010 novel by the same name, Jimmy and Gret Don’t Do Sex- an unconventional love story- (53% true)- this film was shot in a remarkably short 19 days on location in Sydney. Written and directed by Killeen and shot and edited by Rod Morris the film is currently reaching completion. Starring Robbie McGregor, Joey Moore, Deni Hines, Sharon Millerchip and Heather Christie the film is a ‘bloody hilarious’ look at love when you’re middle aged and a misfit. Utilising the cream of current day technology and big hearted contacts Jimmy and Gret treads where few have gone before in financing and flair.

SYNOPSIS
Gret is a modern, forty-five year old uptight do-gooder. Jimmy is an aging recovering alcoholic and bankrupt with the emotional maturity of a sock. Fifteen years ago Jimmy and Gret dated and they still hang out. Is it addiction, is it habit, is it like dog poo on a shoe? When Jimmy’s busted lying yet again he tries to regain Gret’s favour by giving her a voucher to visit a psychic … who tells Gret she ‘sees death around’ her before her 46th birthday, tomorrow. Gret seeks comfort from competitive Jimmy who replies that he too may be about to die either as a result of a hit man to whom he owes money, or from the rare and terminal disease he’s just remembered he may have. With death looming Jimmy and Gret spend their possible last day together hanging out the way they always do on Saturdays; inextricably connected, fighting, laughing, debating, annoying and on this day, after fifteen years of abstinence, they also attempt to have sex. Hospital follows, a shoot out and a hit-and-run. By the stroke of midnight it’s become apparent that Jimmy and Gret are/were truly in love… but theirs is indeed an unconventional love story.

SHORT SYNOPIS
